Monday Flow
A weekly email template for founders who are tired of relying on social media to keep their business visible.
A few weeks ago, I shared a LinkedIn carousel matching every birth month to a different newsletter “personality”. I figured why not share a step-by-step for each of these different newsletter styles, so you can plug and play in your own email marketing!
When I speak with my own clients, one of their main concerns is that they simply don’t have the time to come up with ideas or put the pen to paper. Many have email lists that they’ve sporadically reached out to over the years (I hear ya on that one), so it often feels overwhelming and, let’s admit it, embarrassing to show up again in the inbox like “Hey… sorry to have ghosted you, once again!”
Welcome to Monday Flow
Every Monday for the next 12 weeks, I’ll send you a plug-and-play newsletter inspired by one of those birth month personalities. Think of it as your weekly dose of “what the fuck do I send my email list?” sorted. Tick tick tick.
And it’s going out at the perfect time because Aunt Flow came over the weekend love that for meeeee so if there’s ever a time to not have to overthink sending emails and just use a drag and drop template, it’s now.
So feel free to grab the structure, add your mannerisms and quirks to make it sound like you, and hit send/publish/the button that makes it go away for another week.
Now... before I share it with you, technically I could have started with January.
Instead, we’re kicking things off with June, because it’s my birthday month (it’s still Cancer season, baby ♋️), and because June’s newsletter style is one of my faves.
It’s giving ✨Gratitude✨
This newsletter is an opportunity to turn the spotlight away from you and onto the people who make your business possible.
Because come on, we all know your audience doesn’t just want to hear from you when you’re selling something or offering a discount…
They want to feel like they’re part of the bigger picture for your biz! The businesses people rave about aren’t always the loudest or have the brightest marketing campaigns nor are they always jumping on the viral trending reels, you know?!
They’re the ones that make their customers, readers and community feel seen and invite them into your lair, realm or underworld. Or simply into your small bedroom that you’re working in 10 - 12 hours a day.
I see you, fair play. <3
So this week, that’s exactly what we’re writing about.
Your Monday Flow 🩸
This week’s newsletter personality is June: The Gratitude Email.
Your job this week isn’t to sell, it’s to remind your community they’re the reason your business exists in the first place. :) A thank you goes a long way. It builds trust, will hopefully start lovely conversations, and gives people another reason to stick around.
Anything in brackets should be customised yourself! So make sure you give it a read through (and read it out loud to make sure it flows well) before hitting The Button Of Doom, AKA publish, so it’s clear of mistakes.

💌 Open up for a little thank you note
💛 This one’s for you
✨ You folks have been my Day Ones
🌼 A few things I’m feeling grateful for this month
Hi (name/greeting),
While I might ususally be coming at you with a cheeky discounted offer or letting you know how many openings I have for the coming month, this week’s email is a little different.
Running a business (as a freelancer/single mam/team of one) can feel like shouting into the void sometimes. Between trying to stay visible on social media, second-guessing every caption, and wondering if the algorithm has decided today’s the day it hates the word “vagina”... it’s easy to forget there are REAL people reading and cheering you on.
So this week, I wanted to celebrate you, my amazing (customers/clients/etc). Thanks so much for sticking around with my newsletter, and if you’ve ever bought from me, just know you’re a real one.
💛 A lovely moment I’ll be thinking about for a long time
(Share a customer story, a lovely DM, a kind email, or a conversation that reminded you why you do what you do. Maybe someone told you your work gave them confidence or a new lease of life. Maybe they finally felt seen and heard through your therapy and coaching. Maybe they bought from you for the first time after months of following along in the background.
Whatever it is, don’t be afraid to share the story and be sure to express how you felt after the interaction!)
✨ Community spotlight
(Shout out a client, customer, reader, or fellow founder/mentor who’s doing brilliant things.
If they’ve launched something recently, link to a resource you loved, or simply inspired you, and be sure to give them their flowers!)
📬 A question that came up recently with a (client/customer)
(Share a question someone asked you recently and answer it.
Not only does it create useful content, but it also shows people that their questions matter and that you’re listening.)
🌸 A small win worth celebrating
(Not every win has to be six figures or a sold-out launch.
I’m finally sending out this newsletter after weeks of ghosting my list!
Maybe you took a Friday afternoon off when you find it really hard to switch between work and personal stuff.
Or a client sent you the sweetest testimonial after working with you.
Or, like me, you finally got around to ticking off tax stuff that’s been on your to-do list for way too long!)
And before I go, I wanna hear from you hunny!
What’s one thing you’re celebrating this week? Big or small, a win is a win :)
Be sure to hit reply to this email and share with me.
I’ll be cheering you on from my little corner of (Sevilla). 💛
Speak soon,

🌊 The thinking behind this email
People buy from businesses they feel connected to.
This email isn’t about making yourself the hero. It’s about making your community feel like they’re part of your story.
And ironically, that’s what makes people remember you.
P.S. If writing newsletters always ends up at the bottom of your to-do list, that’s exactly why I’ve created Flow.
Flow is my done-for-you email marketing service for founders who are tired of relying on social media to keep their business moving. From welcome sequences that bring in sales to newsletters your audience actually wants to read, I help you build an email strategy that feels calm and sounds just like you.
I’m not taking on clients right now, but I’d love to chat if you wanna get your email marketing sorted for the busier autumn and Christmas months. :)
Book a discovery call with me to get the sales running smoothly again.
P.P.S. If this template made you think of a founder who’d love it, forward them this email or send them my newsletter. Good email ideas are too nice to gatekeep.
See you next Monday for number 2 in the series!
Maria
